i got a peirce chassis,it is suppose to be a 2001,it is chassis #88,anyone know what year it is??also it is a square tube overslung chassis,4 bar left,z-link right.it has the clamp on brackets with the spring bucket and shock mounts on it.how do i set these up?do i set pinion angle and then level them out and tighten them down that away or should they tilt forward or back??this is a new setup to me im used to running sliders whereas this peirce car has the sring buckets on the chassis and the clamp on bracket.thanks for any help!

u set pinion with the lift bar chain. u can leave the springs out and carefully lower the rearend and level the bottom links.
adjust the heims on lift bar until u get seven degress or so.
tighten the lift bar down and raise the chassis up and install the springs, lower the car and adjust the lr spring bracket to 0 degrees.
u can leave the springs in the car but i found it kinda difficult to adjust the lr bracket.
are u on a floter rr cage or a bracket?
i hope this clears it up some

yes shock mount in back and spring in front. we run a swing arm style on cage on lr and a full floater cage on rr with spring and shock floated all the time.

our's hit a little bit also, fixed it like don did. don't know if this matters or not since iv'e never tried it but make sure the body of the shock is mounted to the a arm (what i call right side up) not upside down.

I have chassis #81. Those were built in 01 or very early 02.

If Pierce did your rearend, set the clamp brackets level at ride height for your pinion angle.

ya it does have room at ride height but if you jack the car up in the front under the frame and the suspension hangs, it may hit a little..
