who is running a triple disc clutch and how r they set-up what do i need r would i be better off running a single disc

how much horspower? Do the rules and pocket book let you run a brinn bert or falcon?

no i am running a 3spd trans engine is a 383 bored 40 over

i dont think a single disk will hold up to that. If your in a mod mostly everyone is running a bert,brinn or falcon.

You set the triple disk up so there is a little free play in the peddle before the throw out bearing contacts the clutch, the same as a normal clutch. The big difference is how you do not use it. It should be engaged relatively quickly to avoid heat and wear and should not be used to load the car.

I ran a single disk clutch behind a 383 for four + seasons with no problems. Sold the car a few months ago and the new guy is still running the original disk. The key is not slipping the clutch.
