I have a 4 speed muncie with 2 gears removed. Nickle plated gears inside. I was wondering if it would hold up in a dirt mod. I ran it on pavement and it was great there. Not sure if it will take the pounding on dirt though.

I ran the same muncie for 10 years in a modified. It also had 1st and 2nd taken out of it. It will hold up just fine. The only reason I went to a Brinn is because I sold the muncie.

I ran the same 3 speed a number of years back for 7 years without doing anything to it. ran it in a street stock a couple yrs then in a mod. then i sold my old mod and the trans to a guy who ran it another 3 seasons before getting a bert.

they work great we remove firstgear and turn down the out put shaft slightly at the splines so the long yoke on the drive shaft will slide all the way in on a three speed
