just wondering if anyone has had problems and what to do to fix. i have the quatermaster bell housing and having alot of trouble. what is the best starter to use.

We use and sell the CVR starter.No problems ever.We haven't sold one for a Ford yet but they have one.Most speed shops carry them now.

the distance from the bellhousing to the starter is not correct if you use a stock type flywheel. I have put 3 on for different customers and have had to modify the shim that q master sells. Check the distance from the flywheel to the starter drive. Another problem is that the bellhsg is made for a 153 tooth chevy ant the small ford is 157 tooth. you might also have to slot a hole to get the starter further out from the flywheel.
