is there anything you can put on rub rails and bumpers so they dont rust,i like the metal color , clear paint dont last that long and starts to look bad

You might try a clear coat powder coat, but dont know if it would protect much from rust.

Clear powder coat will work well, and protect it from rusting. So will clear spray paint.

I always had good luck with clear spray paint, Just clean up the part with scotch brite and then clean it with thinner and spray it with a couple good thich coats and it shouldn't rust and look pretty cool too.

a shop here said to get them real hot with a rosebud then cool off with wd 40.
maybe i didnt get em hot enough..because they started to rust.
yes they look cool unpainted
