on a 4 link do u want the birdcages clocked straight up and down?

so when there are talking about using shorter bars on the lower link then the mount on the frame must be longer than the top mount. so that the birdcages are still straight up and down correct?

You are correct, we run a plug on the bottom lr so that we can use a shorter bar and keep b/c vertical.

I asked the same question to my chassis builder and they told me to put the top of the birdcage a 1/8" forward. Why im not sure.

I wouldn't want to run it forward. Last week at our track a late model driver made an adjustment and didn't check and in the race the left bird cage overcentered and he tried really hard to knock the wall down.
