are you running a stall converter or direct drive?
is it a stock valve body?

we have to run a converter. it is a custom built low speed stall and yes stock valve body.

You have to run the drum but you don't have to run the clutches if you only use low gear. The drum holds the low gear band and also the sun gear

ok i understand that but thses transmissions have something done to the valve body. reason i say this is because no matter where the shifter is posistioned(1st or 2nd)its only applying pressure to the 1st gear band. thanks for the info you'll have given. looking forward to figuring this thing out.

Get a manuel valve body shift kit from TCI.
