Anybody run the Harris 2-way pullbar and is it worth the $400 bucks? What are the pros and cons of this pullbar?

Good pullbar works extremely well easy to maintain easy to change out springs but donot use the proggresive Eibach progressive spring with it I even think harris is not promoting it any more because they found it was no good after a few races but it is worth the money

watch your pinion angle, you gain a lot when your on the brakes. people where spitting drive shafts out braking u-joint and tranys.
So I hear!!!
we bought a new afco pullbar, The same kind but not the two way, and ya it is real easy to change springs and preloading spring with out changing anything else.

Ran one last year, and I'll agree works well but is hard on driveshafts. Went back to torque arm setup this past season.

we ran one, seems to work pretty good with the progressive spring, never had any driveshaft problems, but we ran a shock with it.

I remember when this bar first came out there was a lot of talk about it and I have been considering buying one. I got a question about the spring. Is there two different progressive springs offered?? Reason I ask is because "Race169" says don't use the Hypercoil progressive but I thought that Harris was using a "custom" Eibach progressive spring on this bar?? I'm just confused here, just figured there might be two different springs. I called Harris back last year, I think it was. I talked to Reese and I could have swore he also told me it was an Eibach spring.

Just wondering and confused LOL!!

Thanx!

Just my two cents here, but at the beginning of this year a sponsor of mine purchased a Afco 2 way pullbar for me and I also heard all kinds of drive shaft horror stories. I finally tried it and I love it! Wouldn't used nothing else but one now. Mine is with a 1050 spring great going in real stable and awesome forward BITE! Now this one is hard to maintain and set-up with a clamped car but once you know what your doing you'll like it. I'm sure the Harris bar aint much different in performance. Bottom line try it don't listen to what some say. If Harris tells you to set it up a certain way start with it that way and go from there, I did the same with Afco and like I said NO PROBLEMS!

Dirtzone you said you went back to the Torque Arm right? Do you want to sell the Harris bar? I'd like to try one against my Afco bar see what's better!

Race169 confused alot, one time I saw him on his lid. I had to go tell him that the car works better wheels side down. He kinda just scratched his head and said "yea".

The spring veries with the type of rear suspension but most are using the progressive rate.
