Who makes a good metric clip car, uni-mount? I have found a few, but there has to be more than I have found. Thanks for any help.

GRT does either. Metric or Chevelle.

I live in Louisiana, I've talked to several chassis builders and GRT, D&M, & TRE are the only ones I've found so far that build metric cars. Anyone know of any more? Thanks for your time.

washeduptoo, Hoffman sells one. I called and talked to Jerry a while back. He was very nice and helpful. Also the cars are uni-mounts, but he runs a LOT of 4-2's so he has the tech on the 4-2.

I forgot about HOT, but we are hoping what ever we get, they will have some tech help on a 4-2 and I've never seen a HOT on this set up. We'll give them a call. I talked to Jerry yesterday about the 4-2, but I don't think I asked him about the metric clip. I'll have to call him again. Thanks, and keep them coming. We are hoping to get at least 3yrs out of next chassis, so we don't want too much chassis flex where it is real fast the 1st year and not as fast the older it gets.

I've never seen a 4-2 Hot chassis. Plus they used to have some issues on chassis strength but that may be fixed now(like I stated in the PM I sent u) From what I remember when I talked to Jerry Hoffman, his cars are a metric frame. But, if you do consider buying a Hoffman. BEFORE you do PM me about it. I really liked what I heard from Jerry on MOST accounts.

we have a 04 hoffman metric car. according to Jerry, he has only built a few metrics and he really prefers the chevelle stuff. I talked to him recently about a new frame and swaping all my stuff over except of course the metric front stuff as the chevelle is obviously different. He said he never wants to built a metric again and says the chevelle is definately faster due to geometry etc. We have run GRT mods since 98 up until this years hoffman car, and some local illinois builders before that and i have to say that the first time i drove the hoffman car, it was the best car I ever had and ive been racing mods since 94 and street stocks 7 years b4 that. Jerry is a super person to work with and any time I called for help, questions, parts, he was more than happy to tell me what to do or not to do. I really would like to update to the chevelle frame but at this moment im sitting still due to $$$. Unless someone buys me a new car and prefers a brand, my next new or updated used one will again be with HOFFMAN. I know here in central Ill there isnt any but mine and one down in southern ill(which was another frame i sold) but as long as i continue to have a good guy like Jerry to work with and the car works, its fine with me. He has a few good used ones in another post here, you might call him.

murry does not drive a metric car, you can get bms with chevelle stubs and that is what he runs.

Dan's Racing Supply is building a sweet car for 2006 and he is building them on metric chassis. I looked at the plans yesterday on the car and it is going to be very adjustable with rear suspention set ups. Lots R@D all year. He will start building soon but wont show any pics of rear end, Top Secreat. You can link to his web at dansracingsupply.com our look for his ad at the back of your speedway mag.
