Looking for some advice on oil filters...what filter(s) do you folks use out there? K&N sells one called "Performance Gold ", supposedly filters down to 10 microns. They are around $10 a piece. Is there another choice that does performs well and cost less?
How often do you change yours out?

K&N or Wix Racing Filters is usually all i run. I had to run a Fram Racing hp 4 filter and had no troubles but i'am not a fan of fram products.

We just had an oil analysis guy at work, and he said for the money, purolator was the best. Suppose to have Syn. fiber in the filter. About 5 bucks. Just repeating what I was told. But he also Mobil 1 filters were the best.

I used to run the WIX racing filters, they worked very good. I was getting them from a local auto parts store, then I moved and now the local store has the K&N Performance Gold filters, so thats what I run now. They are also good, haven't had any trouble.
When I drag raced I used Fram Racing filters, they seemed ok too. Just be sure whatever you get its made for racing. I have ran regular filters before and had them blow-apart from the high oil pressures.

Sounds like the K&N, WIX racing or NAPA racing filters are popular. Do you guys swap them out every other oil change or longer?

I change the filter everytime I change the oil. Which is after every 2 or 3 races. Those are 8 lap heats and 20-25 lap features.
