I wondered what measurement some DW's guys are running? I have ours at about 17 1/8" from the outside of the upper right frame rail to the center of the pinion. I know Dirtworks says 16 1/4" but our car is real skatey when its that far to the left. Which leads to another question. When you are at the track and you move the j-bar up do you lengthen it to keep the rear end in its original location? Or can you just leave the length the same and screw bite in or out to adjust? And do most run on a slide mount or a or an arc mount so you can leave the length alone?

when you move the J-bar, you need to set the diff back where it was by extending or shortening the J-bar. That way, all you are changing is the angle of the bar and/or the rear roll center.

We take the left rear off and measure to the underslung bar from the edge of the rotor it works well.11 1/2 is what we use thats about a 1/2 off where Dirtworks says to put it but it works for us.

I use 2 different length bars, pre-set to the correct lengths.

If you have it 17 1/8 then you have it furthur left than DW specs. Ours is set at about 17.5 to the pinion.
