need help on 3 link set up. i have 4/z car my bothers car is 3 link. 18 in trailing arms both sides 250lr in front 15deg up angle in bar, 175rr in rear 5 deg up angle, pullbar 800lb,long panhard behind rearend. the problem is no bite on the straights. corners are good in and out just looses traction when it hits the straight this is what he told me anyway. any ideas might that help thanks

Whats the angle on the pullbar?? Also maybe try a stiffer pullbar spring. Like around 1000 or 1050. How much travel is he getting on the pullbar? If he is losing the traction down the straights, he might be bottoming out the pullbar spring and needs to go stiffer. Check the angle and travel.

i dont know what the angle is i will check tomorrow travel only seems to be about an 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches. how much travel does everyone get? steve smith book says 3 inches but there are a lot of things in that book that are wrong

your right about those books, some of the stuff isn't very accurate. I get 2.5 to 3" of travel so that part of his book is right. LOL!

If he's only getting 1.5" on an 800lbs. spring I think I would look for a bind in the pullbar, that might be your problem. I have seen some guys on here say they get around 1 or 1.5" of travel but I also don't remember how big a spring they had. I run an Afco progressive spring bar and at the beginning of the year I was only getting about 1.5" of travel. I flipped the bar around and it started getting 3" I don't really understand that because it should work the same no matter how its put in. I originally had it mounted like the pics of it on Afco's website but when I flipped it around it really helped. Anyone else seen or had this happen???
