What chassis builders have the 4-2 as their design car. What I mean is some chassis builders are known for their 4-link, some 4-z and etc. Just wondering, we might be looking for a new car for next year. Thanks for your input.

Most any new mod is a mult-link. Set it up how you want to.

Harris, there pretty much centered upon the 4-2 set up.

I get what you mean, Pierce focuses on the 4-Z, Shaw on the 4 Link etc etc.

Our car has uni-mount suspension now, but it has been trail and error with alot of help from the forum. I believe if their orginal design is 4-2 the tech support would be better than one whose orginal design is 4-z or 4-4. JMO Thanks for the input, anymore?

Yes the rr is clamped, with spring on top right now, putting the spring on c/o behind this evening. With this car, this has been the best set up so far. Try it if you can.

Hey, what happened with the GRT 4-2??? Wasn't there supposed to be one at Batesville?? I looked but never seen it.

I know of two people I run with that have Harris' and both are pretty fast, they seem like pretty good cars. If I were going to buy a new car it would be a Shaw. But I do completely understand, your thinkin' here. Cause if I bought a Shaw and set it up on the 4-2, Shaw probably wouldn't be much help on the setup.

I believe Jon Mitchell is that one that ran the 4-2 at Arklatex. I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure he wasn't on 4-2 at Batesville. I don't know if I have every seen a Harris car run in LA., if I did I didn't know it. I probably saw one at the Longhorn round up. You very seldom see a Pierce around here either, but I do know a man that has one. We got the c/o on the rr and scaled the car and we are ready for Sat.

We run the lr floated on a b/c and rr now on c/o clamped behind, man it made the car smooth and he could run any where until it tightened up. We are running about 65 lr bite, might need to go lower. If need some information on it I'll be glad to help, PM me, but FlynlowImca17 was who started us on this 4-2. We used to 4-z, but this 4-2 is a hole lot better. JMO

From what I have heard and seen around here, you should go with a Harris or Hoffman, thats even a though choice still. JMO

yes bar lengths are the same. From my experience the angles are pretty close to the same, I ran more angle on mine with the 4-bar than the 4-2. Yes you can also get good rear steer.
