We run the American Racer G-60 tire. I bought 2 new ones, ran them in 2 seperate sets of hot laps before running them in a race. First night went good, started 21 and won. Second night the left rear glazed over realy bad. I ground it before the second night, but it didn't help. What can I do to prevent this? Without cheating! Is it doing to much or not enough work? Don't know what more to do other than grind.

Most guys we race with put new ones on every few weeks. I can't do that so I grind them keep them turned on the wheel, run bleeders and keep putting the juice on them. We started racing in April it's now August,we bought two right side tires at the start of the season the rest are last years leftovers.

We have been using the nail head from Race Mart on our Hoosiers using a homemade motorized tire turner to get a nice uniform grind before every session.
