I'm getting ready to build a modified. It's a 98 Dirtwork bare chassis with roll cage. Was curious as to what type of rear suspension I should use. This being my first dirt modified, I was wanting something that was fairly simple to adjust but still fairly competitive(probably asking for too much). Is a 3-link easier to learn or is a four bar not as complicated as it sounds? It appears that the fast setup is with the 4 bar but there is a lot that I don't understand. Any help would be great; I'm not starting on this project for a couple weeks but wanted to get this major question sorted out.

definately start with a 3-link. if you want to then you could go ahead and put the 4-bar brackets on it and just run 3-link so when you get ready for the 4-bar the brackets will be there.

Thanks for reply. I kind of figured I would be better off to start with a 3-link because they are pretty simple to adjust. I just wasn't sure if the 3-link would be enough to keep up or at least out of the way of the big boys till I got some seat time.
