I know the front stub on my DW-8 is a Chevelle, but Iím not sure if it is 64-67 or 68-72. Anyone know how I can figure this out? I bent the drag link and it looks like maybe the Pitman Arm as well. I purchased a new drag link from Oreillyís for a í70 Chevelle and I couldnít get it to fit just right. The DW website lists 2 drag links, 64-67 and 68-72. Again, it could be the Pitman Arm causing the whole issue, Iíd just like to figure out how to tell the model.

Any idea where I should look for the Pitman Arm? I got my Lower Control Arms from Car-Part.com (good deal), but they donít have Pitman Arm as a searchable item.

THANKS!

The 64-67 drag link is 1" narrower than the 68-72 version.

Southwest Speed in Ft. Smith (479)646-6988 can fix you up with either drag link. The 68-72 is a DS 749 (Moog) and the 64-67 is a DS 740 which is no longer in production. The Southwest Speed drag link is pretty soft, but we just press ours back straight until it is shot completely. The 64 - 67 has about an inch narrower snout and a shorter drag link.

THANKS guys.

What about the pitman arm? Should I try to find that at a junk yard?

Dirt Works can ship you the pitman, drag link and idler if you need it. 417-465-2410. Talk to Gary or Andy. I don't know if Southwest Speed has the pitman or not.
