I am running a 4-link left rear with the spring behind and a z-link right rear. When my car is sitting on the ground my left rear spring is realy compressed. It is a 13" 200# spring (new), but when the car is on the ground it only measures 9.25" tall when mounted as a coil-over. Is this normal?

That does sound a bit odd, how's your ride heights? Is it a slider or coilover? If it is floated make sure the bottom of the cage is indexed to zero. If not, you must have a ton of bite. Or something is bound up for sure..

Is seems pretty close. Every 1" of compression is 200# except the first which will be alittle less. So if you scale the car the LR weight will be close to 750#.

my car does this same thing. I don't have any problems with it, the ride heights are good, bite is good, works just fine!

With a 4 link we run stiffer springs around 225-250. 200 is what i would run with a 3 link.

Nothing is bound or binding that I can find. Ride hieghts are good. Car has 105# of bite and weighs 720#. What will stiffer springs do and how do I know if I need them?

stiffer spring on the LR will loosen entry and tighten exit. It adds more dynamic cross weight. The way you are describing it, it sounds just fine.

My last year 3 link swingarm car had 225 RR and 300 LR It was awesome that way. So I imagine you would need much stiffer springs for you r 4-Z just my 2 cents

I have found out that with swingarm cars softer springs will actually help out a bunck on really dry tracks. I am trying a 250 LR, and 200 RR right now. CAr is swingarm both sides.
