Have a Bert that is leaking fluid out of the end of the tailhousing. Just replaced the rear seal and it was out of fluid after hot laps and heat. Not sure how it is leaking with the new seal, but it evident on the sheet aluminum by the shifter underneath. It's fine while parked, but it's coming out when racing somehow. Any help would be appreciated.

Is your driveshaft slip yoke taking the seal out? SOme of the rear seals look ok , but the rubber gets pushed inside the metal seal

I would suspect your bushing is worn or pushed out.

The seal was my first suspision, so I just replaced it last week and appears to be in great shape, but I'll double check.

Ford5, you may have something.....how can I tell if it's the bushing??? You can see the bushing in there, but I'm not sure how to "check it" or tell if it's pushed out. I've had everything apart on this thing except for the tailhousing, so any advice helps....just hoping I don't have to pull it apart to fix it. Thanks for the responses!!!

Check how much 'up and down' movement there is with your yoke while it is in the travel range.......also check your yoke for surface wear and\or rust or rough spots.
