Gave $200.00 for a bare 98 Harris chassis that was sitting in the weeds behind a guys shop. It's a three link with a long panard bar behind the rearend. Our best finish so far is a second in the feature.

I'm running a 2003 car built by a local builder (Howard's Motorsports) I say they just built me a roll cage and I made it a race car. Until I took hold of it with a torch and welder the car wouldn't hit water if it fell out of a boat!!! Now it runs pretty good!

2004 Fegers chrome-moly, underslung car. 4/Z and 4/4 rear suspension.

I'm planning on getting a new 2006 over-rail car at the end of this year.

I'm very happy with the quality and performance of these cars.

Factory expierimental_01, home made by me.

Building _02 & _03 next year, and who knows after that.

Various problems keep us from running very good so far, we run up fron then something breaks, tranny or engine wise, but the chassis is really good.

4/z, swing arm z-link. Only real issue is its tight, way to much side bite most of the time.

I have Chassis #81. It is an older car, but I like it. I have changed up a few things, but I am not too far off of the house set-up with a little more left rear. Thinking about swinging the z link over some night and trying the 4 bar. Have you found anything?

Ya we have ran the 4-bar on the right side it is nice on a real smooth dry track.
We are starting to mess with the pull bar alittle more.
are you running the right side panhard bar or left?

We run the left side panhard bar. Towards the end of the season we are going to go to the 4/4 setup to see what it does. One thing that we like is 1/2" preload on the pull bar instead of 1/4". Do you run a 225# spring on the lr or 200?

The Pierce car I ran last year was one of the last Pierce/Mastersbilt cars and did not have a number. I still have that chassis in storage if anyone wants to buy it.

I still run the 200 on the left rear, but I would like to try the 225. I just have not had time to put one in and set it up so I can swap it at the track and make sure it is close. I know a few of the guys are switching them between race around here and are running good.

I also have seen a guy that was really fast at the start of the season in a Pierce car with a 200lb spring on an eliminator behind the right rear. We also have a couple of guys running a z link left rear with the pullbar mounted as far to the left as they can get it that have been quick at times.

Whats the deal on the Pierce / Mastersbuilt?

Did they buy the design, or start out with converting Masters LM's or something?

Just looking for some history on Pierce is all.

I never heard that either,
I know bob Pierce ran a Rayburn LM and you could get a Rayburn with a Pierce rear suspension,
Maybe he has master-built and rayburn mixed up.

I had an older racing magazine article/stock car or circle track from the mid 90/s and mastersbuilt mods for a short time were built by Bob pierce shortly before pierce was selling them on his own. afterwards mastersbuilt starting building them in house again or found someone else to fab them up.
