Generally speaking it will loosen late entry and steady state. I've found it seems to help forward bite if your smooth because it will usually increase midcorner speed. I went to a high rear spring rate/high cross setup on smooth slick tracks this year and it has been working pretty well for us, but it demands that the driver is smooth and keep the car straight.

Good question because alot of the guys around here are running high spring rates and they are flying. I am running 350lr & 275rr on a swingarm car. Thinking of putting the spring on top of the housing on the rr. I guess keep trying til you find something that works better.
