I'm kind of curious about the different types of traction control devices that you have heard of. The only one that I know of is ran through a persons MSD box, does anybody have knowledge of something other than this, and has anybody ever heard of somebody getting caught running it along with what if anything are they doing to try and detect it at the tracks you are running?

Shannon Davis' units (Davis Technologies) don't pop and crackle at all... and you don't need and MSD

If the Davis unit isn't connected through the MSD how does it work?

That's funny! Where can I get a fat cam? My 3/4 race cam is a little weak.

I have heard of radar style that you mount facing down that measure the speed of the car to the track surface and and adjusts the timing to slow down the rear tires.

I have also heard of the wheel sensor style that you put on the front wheel they measure wheel speed and won't let the rear wheels go faster than the fronts
just some stuf i heard

Ok, we heard about how great of drivers you are and how good your foot is, Just curious as to how the one works that the driver carries, the one without wheel sensors. I mean there must still be somthing in your MSD box or else if you were turning it on wouldnt it screw with another guy running an msd ? By no means am i interested in getting one, or wait , maybe i am...lol then maybe we could win 20-25 features instead of 15?...lol

It does need a wirein the haress to plug to , from what i hear its one wire with a sharp pin that may be stick into the insuation of the harness . after the race just pull it out and put it in the pocket.
another may be inside the temp guage and stays hooked up , another poss made into the ignition swith.
The reality is that there are many ways its being hidden and more clever ways developed all the time.
also in my opinion it would take somewhat of a differant setup running it. I do know that on pavement the car has to be set differant or its hard to turn in the center. I have also seen it used on pavement and a weel setup and balanced car was faster the some using the program.

if you want to have some fun and have an hei or points, run solid core wires and non resistor plugs you get close to somebody with an msd it will go nuts from the rfi put out.

I think the local representive in southern Wisconsin is in Beaver Dam. Just get in touch with Jay 10S and he can tell you anything you would need to know about the Shannon Davis traction control box.
