ok then thats gettin on the leafs, question howd they get her to steer like that, we raced a leaf car last year and tried a few things like a half leaf RR and multi leaf LR and it looked similar to that and was bad fast tons of side bite.

See that are of the race track between the car and the berm in that first pic? That's where I'd be going past you with me left front on the ground. Just messin' with you. Seriously though, why would you want to run a car like that? What are the advantages supposed to be? I've rarely seen races won by cars all hiked up that way. They seem to hate bumps and are a real handful to drive.

Al has lots of bite dialed in. It's easily tamed down and the leafs will handle the holes better than a panhard bar.

IowaFuzzy1, I hate to be right but I am, the set up on that car is like I said multi LR mono RR

B.K.ENG45, In those pics Shawn was on his way to a 2nd place finish at Banks. Saturday night he also finished 2nd in Elma. So how has Racin Jason done this year, wait I know all DNFs. Maybe we should change his name to Braken Jason.

fr1 is right they do have a lot of bite in the car, that is the way they want it. Seems to work good on the straight and in the corner.

Wow this car really hooks. Do all Fr-1's work like this on Hoosier tires ?
Also can I buy one form Racemart that will do the smae thing and have the same rear setup ?

I don't understand why you would want a car that is that radical. I'd rather keep the car down with both front tires helping the car turn. It does look cool though, I'll admit that. But hey, if it's fast, more power to 'em!

That set-up can't be bought at Race Mart.It takes alot of research to find it and you have to retrain your brain to understand how it works.Hang on for dear life when its right!!!

When it is working right it is really fast and a wild ride. No FR-1 does not run that set up, but there cars are still fast with his set up. I also agree with the fast that four wheels on the ground are better then three, especially in traffic. But everyone likes there set up different and that set up seems to be working alright for them.

Yes that is the Banks between Portland and Tillamook. They do not always run mods there it is only once a month. The pay was $300 to win.

I am the owner of the 2 car in the pic. The car is a 2005 FR-1 bought from Racemart in Memphis,Mo. The workmanship and tech. support from Randy and crew are 2nd to none. I decided to run a little different set up than racemarts because I can't always leave well enough alone. This can be easily changed to the racemart setup in about an hour. It is my belief that the racemart setup hooks nearly or as well but is a whole lot tamer.
Looking forward to going to the Grove this year. The racing there is always fast. You're doing good to go there and pull a top 5. I hear that alot of you guys are coming to Elma for the Nats. Stop by for a cold one after the races.

I'll agree with you on that one, most of the cars that I see doing the radical 3 wheeling are using up most of the track and most racers are having to avoid them. If you look at the late Models several years back most of them were hiked up pretty high and now they have found the fast way around the track is keeping all tires on the ground.
