the best ones i've heard of are the manual ones (not sure on a brand though) I have also heard where the roll slides under the bevel on the other side to rub some vasiline on there so it will slide easier. Hope this helps.

SpeedStack tearoffs do it for me, I've run over 42 at the start of a feature before - I run at a place where when wet, for the first few laps you're pulling at least two a lap.
I'm bad about pulling them off before they really need to be pulled, but you can load enough with the speedstacks that you won't run out. Think my one lap record is 5 tearoffs in one lap .... lol

I used a manual quite a bit when I raced, & I really liked it. I got mine from Speedway Motors. Pros, you can always see where you're going, Cons, the replacement shields are kinda pricey, & they do get scratched up pretty quick.

I've been using the Speedstacks this year and like them a lot. Being the cheap guy that I am, I usually put on a few (10) old style, individual tear offs on top of two Speedstack packs. Our track doesn't stay wet very long so it's usually not an issue.

i also use speedstacks, i tried a manual roll off and an electric rolloff machine before. i didnt like the blocked vision thing. the speedstacks are nice, but at around .70 each i usually wont use them for the heats.

Electric roll offs are great when they work and a real pain when they don't. I DNF'd a couple of mains when mine broke on a very heavy track. They can either jam or snap the plastic roll and you are screwed. Other draw backs are the weight and it doesn't fit well with a headrest because of the rolls on the sides. That said, when you are running a fast, heavy, rutted track it sure is nice to leave both hands on the wheel and just tap a button for a clean view. Someone could make themselves a little money if the came up with a design that was more compact and reliable.

Ive had one for 2 years and never have any problems with it got it from Speedway Motors.
1). I reuse the film several times unroll it put some water in a bucket and let it soak for a coulpe of mins and get 2 towels while it still in the bucket pull the film through the towels go through one to clean and the other to dry and roll it up as I am going. This saves alot on rolls of film it last for about 4 weeks for me that is if the track is real tacky.

2) The Backing plate does indeeded get scratched real easy so I cut the center just where I would be looking out so all I am doing is looking through the helment sheild and the film.
Hope this help I am not much on writing but just to let you know it is easy to see and less expensive for me on buying film all the time Well worth the 100.00 to me
