Was thinking about purchasing a spring rubber for our car. Can anyone tell me if they have used one,and any pro,s or con,s in using one. And if you buy one what is the rate of it? Say if we are running a 200 pound spring and I put the spring rubber in what rate does the spring become? Thanks for any info!

i use them lots.
buy several, cut one in half, one in quarters, leave one full. that way you have different rates.
you will have to install them in your springs and rate them all at installed height to see the actual difference.
you are actually reducing the amount of active coils in the spring using spring rubbers, but not completely because the rubber has a spring rate also, and will allow the coil it is in to still compress slightly.
i dont ussually worry about the rate difference, just that it is making the spring rate slightly higher.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the last time I messed with one made about a 25# (almost) difference.
