If he is looking for a budget suit, I started out in a racequip suit. 2 pc. I am a little over 6'4" and a heck of a lot heavier than your friend. Get ahold of Speedway, or your local dealer. I live in Minnesota and got mine from Lou Fegers Racing equip. But I know Speedway supplies them as well. www.speedwaymotors.com

Get the double layer though, not the single.

this is one place where I would spend a little extra money. if you get burned, you can throw away alot for a little.

The guys are right, at least double layer is the only way to go. Try: http://www.ultrashieldrace.com/
I just picked up a new suit from them a couple months ago & love it...I'm 6'3".

i have a brand new 2 pc suit. it is black and checkerd. paid around 220.00 tax and all. will sell for 170.00 including shipping.

this is a good true nomex suit. long jacket. they had an old suit that the owner retired and set it on fire for 10 miniutes put out and did not burn suit or 100.00 bill he put inside..so i bought the only size he had left and is to long and big for me. its a large. 34-38.
