Something I've been thinking about lately.
With the amount of rear % needed on these cars has anyone seen an advantage to running gas especialy in longer races?

Huge advantage, I onlr run gas. gas is becoming more and more popular. Gas the best way to go in a mod, they hold rear % a ton better.

We switched to gas last year. Most of the tracks we run on our dry enough that you need the rear % more than the HP boost from alky. Only a few nights last year did we miss the alky for its power. The only thing with gas is you have to keep your coolign system in top shape to keep the thing cool.

Gas!! Good fan blade, good water pump and no overheating problems ever. Smells alot better too.

Thanks for the replies I've been watching everyone in my area switch to alky.

Only way to go in my book also. Been running it about 5 years and can't say there were too many times I wish we were back on alky. In addition to the above reasons it also makes for a much simpler fuel system and maintainance. Also is alot easier on motor parts.

I agree, I dont miss the smell, cooling has not been a problem us either. The fuel cost more but you use less. Also what I like is not having to worry about the fuel eating or corroding the carb.

No more tope lube to buy either. Plus when I tune on it in does not burn your eyes and nose out.
