I'm just finishing up a chassis I built incorporating the designs I like from various builders and a bunch of extra fine tuning abilities. It is an early chevelle clip with dirtworks style a frames up front and a 4 link rear with underslung right and overslung left, brakes floated, 15" lower and 17" upper bars, provisions for j bar or shorty bar and coilovers,on the front of the cage right side, rear of cage or clamped front on left side. This car is an experiment as it has a bigblock and due to it's additional weight the rear clip was built with alot of different adjusters and setup possibilities considering we had to put some weight in the rear I put it in the chassis. What I'm interested in here is some opinions on rear spring rates to start with.I have looked at setup sheets for various builders and most have 225 right and 200 left, but from what I've read here, many of you invert these numbers. I would love to hear what you guys like and why.

the big block is kinda throughing me off, the number s u gave are a good starting point, the rr heavier will give it more sidebite going in.
I would probably start with 225 LR and maybe 200 to up to 250 rr.
really depends where the spring is and what bar angles and such.
