Whats the better yoke to run in the rear on a Mod, the 3 7/32" wide or the 3 5/8" ones?

I use the narrow yoke now, but i got a couple wide yokes, one short and one long. As well all my drive shafts are the narrow ones.

I may need to run the long yoke to get the drivshaft where i want it. Anyone ever have trouble with running a long yoke on the pinion?

As well i seen where they offer a wide and narrow universal for matching the two up, anyone ever run one of these?

We have always run the long yoke, never had any problems.

Wide or narrow Dirtbuster?

Also is the drive shaft wide or narrow?

i know the yoke is wide, I am not sure about the shaft now. I thought it was wide but could be wrong.

I have run both The wide and the narrow, and long and short I haven't noticed any difference in U-joint wear. I use a brute force U-joint ( I Think it is for a ford truck) when I use the wide yoke.

Neapco makes the Brute Force U-joints and yokes. Dana also makes a similar setup. http://www.neapco.com/
Hope this can help. Please post any more questions about U-joints. I have alot of info on these.

I'm having trouble finding a u-joint that will fit the narrow yoke and the other side is bigger and has that injected keeper. Any ideas what this might be? Got the drive shaft from Day Motorsports 4 yrs ago.

I just finished chasing this u joint problem around, I have the long wide yoke with the big caps, and narrow driveshaft yoke with small caps, after much head banging i found out the joint i needed is a #372 Precision joint. Napa has it in stock, $21.29
