Were switching to alcohol, i dont want to but the team does, and engine builder. Anyway, what is the best layout using a mechanical pump with Alcohol?

Plans are (tenative right now) is to use a BG throttle bypass, the ball valve deal, and an Edelbrock super victor pump.

Line comes out of the tank to filter, then on to the pump, out of pump to the log, before the log is a tee to go thru the throttle by-pass, to release pressure at idle.

No my question is, should i run the return back to the tank, to reduce pulse or something, or can i just tee it back into the supply line before the filter?

we used to run it from the bypass to the filter supply line, they make a filter for this or you can get a male run tee for the size line and hook it up that way too.

I was just wondering if it made any difference, would running it back to thte tank make it run better, or does it really matter.

I have read about people have problems with the pulse of mech pump causing issues, thats why i wondered if running back to a tee in the line would make it worse.

it is really better to run your by-pass back to the fuel cell.a common problem when people tee it is the returning fuel has no where to go as the inlet line is already full of fuel so the returning fuel cant go anywhere, backs up in the fuel bowls and ends up crushing a float in the carb.it really is essential that the return line be free flowing. good luck!
