$1000.00 REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE STOLEN PARTS!

Last night someone or more than one person stole Scotty Covington's Engine except for the block. They also left a trail of bolts to the entrance and exit they chose. We are certain of some things but I cannot comment on them at this time. However, we know it is someone is involved in racing, in UMP. They knew what they were after, and piled the rest of up to return later; However, I woke up around 3:00-3:30 and turned on the light. We believed that it scared them away because everything else they planned on taking was organized in a pile. Who ever did this I have to say they are brave or maybe just stupid. Scotty and myself are still in shock that someone would stoop to that level. It is sad that people are so jealous of Scotty Covington that they would do anything to get what he has. He will return bigger and better, but he has more motivation. It's a good thing me nor Scotty didn't go outside, because our race car, and it's components is so much more than an object to us. I cannot express our emotions right now, when it comes to someone/something I love there is no logic. The result of this action will not be mild. Scotty is great, knows how to make a car fast, he is and always will be great, fast, winning, and better because of these narrow minded people that envy him and are jealous. There are a lot of words I'd like to use when letting the racing community know about this but I'm having to fight my emotions. The Livingston Parish Sheriffs Office was out here and did finger prints, photos, and got some really good clues. But, I can't discuss any of it. If anyone hears anything, see's anything please contact us A.S.A.P. Our racing plans for 2005 are shot as of now and we are truly sorry to all the sponsors and fans. Love or hate Scotty Covington, I hope this will be a lesson for the whole racing community that they never put their guard down, and always trust your instinct.

Please forgive my agression, it isn't directed towards anyone except the thief(s), I'm just really angry right now.

Please if anyone knows anything please contact us @225-791-8739. 225-278-6189.

Theives need to be horsewhipped before going to jail. One of the things I love is the trust in the racing community while in the pits. Anyone who violates that trust is a lowlife piece of SH*#. Too bad you didn't catch those cowards in the act. I hope everything turns out fine.

Yall are right there is alot of that going on these days. I live in northern louisiana and I will keep my eyes open also. These days people will steal the laces out of your shoes. It sure is a shame.

This is Artie from A&M Motorsports. I fortunately didn't get anything stolen, I just copied and pasted Scottys post from another forum. I kinda like how he said, either they had b*lls or just plain stupid.
With the help of the internet to spread the word I hope the thieves are afraid to sell the parts or putem in their car. I live just west of New Orleans and Scotty lives around the Baton Rouge area so we have the area covered. Thanks guys, oops and gals.
