I am interested in running a solid pull bar this year, or at least try one a few times.

Question, who makes a really strong swedge tube that will hold up? I noticed that UB Machine makes a 1.25" O.D. swedge tube, i guess its a thicker wall than normal, anyone use one of these?

This is on a 4bar LR, swing arm / Z-link RR, and double swing / z-link sometimes. 2500 lb car, w/ driver.

I read a coupleother posts about solid pull bars and have read that the feel is better. You can feel more of whats going on with the rear wheels. Thats the reason i want to try it.

CALL WAYNE LARSON. HE BUILDS MOLY SWEDGE TUBES WITH GOOD STEEL INSERTS. WE RUN THEM FOR EVERY BAR ON THE CAR, THE RELIABILITY AND CRAFSTMANSHIP IS THE BEST ON THE MARKET.

If you have access to a tig, chassis shop has tube adapters and chromoly tubing. Or you can use some 1"x.156" tubing and tap the ends. Either option is better than any swaged tube.

I used the method that wfoondirt mentioned. Just bought a piece of steel tubing and tapped both ends myself for 3/4" heims. Ran that solid bar for half a season with no problems.

we tried one last year on the tacky track and it worked great, wouldnt advise it on slick though.
all we did is take a piece of 1" tube witha .650 inside diameter and tap the ends. it works great. we make all our own tubes.

Sounds like a good idea.

I called Larson's, $26.00 bones for a 20" tube, chrome molly, they also sell chrome moly heim's as well. Kinda pricey, but there safer i guess.

Anybody have some good pics of these tubes? i went to the website and they are hard too see, are they just a threaded insert welded in a chromoly tube?
