Have any of you guys tried Howard Stewarts new race pump. I like the pump but I am hearing of a few guys running mods on alky are having problems with inconsistent fuel pressure and flooding problems. Any feedback will be worth it.

We have run ours three races on gas. The first two were with our alcky regulator and a bypass line, everything was good except the BG regulator did not have a jet small enough to keep idle pressure so I filled one and drilled it to work. We got the idle pressure to where we wanted to but felt uneasy about our fix. We have bought the Holley 803 regulator that they reccomend and set it up before the carb without the bypass and it ran great. It gives you options for running the fuel line along the engine block instead of the frame.
Make sure you get the Comp push rod they reccomend with the bronze tip it is about 1/3 the weight of the stock one.
We will never run a stock style pump again!
