I just purchased all the stuff from x-factor to build the actual bar myself. My question is how long of a bar you guys recommend using. The car is 4-bar left, z-link right, 108" wheelbase and will race mostly on short tracks with Hoosiers. Any help from you guys is appreciated because it's time to install the front mount.

I think our is 21 1/4 inches roughly. It depends on where ur pull bar mount is located on rearend forward or behind centerline of axle.

I like a long pull bar that mounts on the driveshaft loop (Harris Style) This style works pretty good on all the tracks. The only downside is that you need to run quite a bit of angle in it to get the right amount of bite. If it were me, I'd install a mount that lets you use around an 18 inch Swedge tube, and leave room or make mounts to make it longer or even shorter. The Hoffman car's that we've owned had long mounts on them and the driver really liked it. The short pull bar isn't a bad deal either, but the bite will start to go away down the straight. I have always run a long pull bar with a lot of angle, i'd rather get up off the corner a lot better and then pedal the car at the flag stand than pedal coming out while everyone else is going foreward. Best thing to do is build a mount for the long bar, and then build bolt in mounts for a medium length and a short pull bar.

Xtreme, Right now all options are available. I kinda got the notion of short bars for short tracks and long bars for long sweeping tracks??????????? My best option will be as you posted though just a little more imagineering and fabrication. What you think about the x-factor bar?
