ARE TRACK CHANGED THE RULES ON US AT THE LAST MINUTE SAYING THAT IN THE MODIFIED CLASS THAT EVERYONE CAN EITHER RUN A HOOSIER OR A IMCA TIRE JUST AS LONG AS IT IS HARD THAN A 60 COMPOUND TIRE. WILL THERE BE AN ADVANTAGE THOSE GUYS RUNNING HOOSIER TIRES?

You can bet your sweet pippy! even if the rubber compound is 60 for both the tires, the hoosier has a more flexible sidewall and that will be advantageous.

Definitely a big difference in the two tires. The Hoosiers have better all around bite, and are not as much of an equalizer as the Amer Racers. Unfortunately the Hoosiers will make more guys faster, even if their setup is a little off. If your track allows both tires, I'm guessing most will choose the Hoosiers.

Our track has allowed the use of hoosier tires this year as well. What ***** is I've bought four new G-60's early this year before the rule was changed. I'm also wondering how much slower I'm going to be. It ***** not having enough money to race agianst those who do.

How much of a chassis readjustment is there?

What needs to be done?

We switch back and forth between the the two brands. When going from Racers to Hoosiers: We run more LR bite in the car with Hoosiers (120# vs. 60#), more stagger (3" vs 1") We also run less panhard bar angle with Hoosiers. We have to free up the car on Hoosiers to get it to turn well.

That 4 vs. 3 deal depends on which three you have. lol
