The QA1 shocks are easy to revalve once you buy all of the tools and tuning kit that is requried, the tuning kit and tools will run you around $300.
Choosing between QA1 or Bilsteins shocks isn't the question, the question you need to ask is
Do I need Gas Charged Shocks or Twin Tube Shocks?
Do you race on a rough track, or a track that has many small bumps or wash boards?
Do you like your car to feel very stable and have little sway from side to side when you turn the steering wheel back and fourth?
Once you answered these questions then you can decide on a brand of shock.
Bilsteins are a Gas Charged shock.
QA1 are a twin tube shock.
I would use a Gas Charged shock on a Rough track, use a Twin Tube shock on smooth tracks.

The trick shocks are the new Bilstien SN series, steel bodies. Gas charged with a floater piston dividing the gas and oil, unlike Pensekes, which are more expensive.

We run QA1's now, i like them really well. They seem to be well made, and smooth, plus there rebuildable. Which is why bought them
