Were using a j-bar this year for the first time. To start we are going to mount the j bar at pinion level on rear end and apporx. 4 inches above axle level on the frame. Ill be running the car on two different types of tracks. 3/8's high bank, slick by feature time and 1/4 mile flat also slicks over come feature time. Ive been reading trying to find out with this starting point on the j bar how to adjust it from there ? Raise one end at the frame or lower or raise both ends ? Once i run the car and see how its handles i want to be able to make the adjustments the right way. Thanks guys i know this is a repeated question.

if u adjust on the frame side u will not likely notice a big change in the way the car feels as if u move the mount on the pionon side. the pionon side will move more than the frame will, the frame side will only pivot a bit but the pionon is moving up and down along with the chassis moving up and down.
start with it mounted even with pionon and up for a tackier track and down drier tracks.
Hope this helps

Thanks dirt mod that does help. If i get to the point where i need to tighten up the car ,which i think i will need to do come feature time , than i have a better idea where to adjust the j bar.
