I just put a seal kit in my KSE tandem pump and if I tighten the bolts the pump won't spin. If I just snug them it spins just fine. Am I just over tightening it or is there something not right inside?

sounds like the one of the seals isn't seated completely..... also, when you had it apart did you put in a new bushing?? If you replaced the bushing I would say that isn't PERFECTLY square.....

WEnt through this exact thing a few years ago. I eventually sent it in to KSE and what they told me was that one of the intermediate blocks either had a burr or wasnt seating squarely or something, doesnt take much to bind it up. He told me I prob could have fixed it by taking the blocks on a perfectly flat stone, with some 600 wetdry paper and wd40 and make a figure 8 pattern to polish them a little. In the ned it cost me 150$ I think to have it inspected, rebuilt and tested by KSE.
