The car looks much better now than it did in black or when it was white. When are you going to decal it? Hope you post pics then too.

We just got our 2005 and it is IMCA.
The panhard bar is on the right side, and it is round tube overrail.
Is yours on the right I was wondering how that was going to work. I hope yours is on the right, clean sweeping the first night out. It would be nice if we did that.
LOL

don, we had a 2004 pierce overrail and we had problems with the car settling. after every week wed put it on the scales and the weights would be out of wack, like 125 pounds across the rear. well we found out that the jacking bolts were turning. as the race went on the car got loose bc the left front jacking bolt was coming out 2-3 turns putting more weight on the right rear so we had to clamp it donw with a homemade bracket. just to give u some insight on what we had. we ran it on a big track, 1/2 mile flat big sweeping corners. we r runnong underrail this year. they r fast though. good luck. we also ran IMCA. we did win the first championship in New York for pierce though!!!!!!!!!

hey donslink i think you got me and the other guy mixed up...but..yes my panhard is on the right hand side and it is an underrail car. the car worked perfect, it was a litle tight in the center but if i got the car sideways in it just drove itself around. the car is as smooth as a cadillac. and as for the jacking bolts coming out we drilled through the jacking bolt itself and zip tied it to the frame on all four corners. very nice and well built car.

coolexx, I feel a lot better, see our 04 Pierce with the shorty on the left the car was real tight, and where we run it is rough and it would through the car around like you wouldnt believe, there are times were we didnt even want to take the car on the track, because of the ruts. I was thinking if nothing else the bar being on the right it would fix the ruts but I wasnt sure about the forward bite. glad to hear it
and yes they are very nicely built cars.

WPP, Bob has a drawing on where he wants the bar just ask the guy that answers the phone to send it to you.
last year we had a problem with the screw jacks too so we just put jam nuts on them

When you say the J bar is on the right, is it still on the left side of the pinion?

there is no j-bar. it's a straight bar from the right side of the pinion to the right side of the car. the car was a little tight in the center of the corner but it was extremely smooth. the car handles the ruts pretty well. we run a track that's kind of that way too. were gonna try to go run it on a half mile next week and i'll let you know how it runs.
