I am running a leaf car. I not sure what kind of car it is. I bought it last year and ran it this past season, but i was thinking about getting a bar car. found a bunch of things on leaf cars and kinda made me change my mind. My car has single mono leaf on l/r and r/r with coil springs, and the 3rd shock.i am looking for the best set up for it can someone help me out.

If your going to run leafs, than the best set up would be a multi leaf on the L/R and a mono leaf with coil spring on RR. Float the mono leaf.

Their are a couple good set ups out there.
Racemart has one and RC race cars has the other. Both are almost similar to each other, but vary between the two.

In my area these Racemart cars have been giving them 4 bar cars a run for their money and winning races.

Go to 4m.net and do a search on fast boys set up.....this should set you in the right direction.......also dirt racer 21 has good info on this set up.

I ran a mono leaf with coils for years. It was a perfect dry slick car and I ran it on pavement once and finished third. Mine was a 112 inch wheel base car and I ran very soft coil springs. I ran a 175 left rear and a 125 right rear running American racer tires. The best set up I had for dry slick was...49 percent cross 67 rear and 54 left. I won some races in Abilene with this set up many years ago. I do agree the 4 bar type cars are more competetive now than a leaf car. Hope this helps you out some.
