Looks like I'll have to clip my Sportsman so which clip to make it a mod, Chevelle or Metric.
I have both but need all you guys input on which one to use and why. Meanwhile I'll look in Jammin,s tool box and check out the dimensions on these two clips.

I don't care for the metric spindles. And when you go changing out the metric spindles to another type, all of your front end geometry is compromised. Therefore, I'd go the Chevelle route.

So is what you are telling me is that it is easier to adapt the pinto spindles on the chevelle vs. the metric and will be easier to correct the front end geometry?
How about the front track width?
Is anyone making the tubular lower arms for the Chevelle chassis yet?

You can get tube lowers from Afco. Also if your going to put pinto spindles on it then your front geometery will have to be relocated no matter which chassis you use. The car I'm running now is a metric w/ pinto spindles. I had to relocate the upper control arms and use different ball joint to get the roll center right. The track width on the Chevelle is wider than the metric. But metric replacement parts are easier and cheaper to find. If you have both and don't mind having to look for parts and possibly paying a little more once you find them then I would run the Chevelle. I would also try to stay with the factory spindles. The geometery is not too bad like that.

Also if you do decide to run the Chevelle I have a few odd and end parts for one if you need them. I know I have a spindle or two and some factory lower control arms. I also think I have a drag link and steering box, idler and pitman arm. If you decide to run the Metric then I might buy that Chevelle if you want to sell it! Talk to you later Artie.
