i'm going to try going from four bar to four bar on left and swing arm/zlink on right...i've heard just about every spring rate to try from my friends, what would be a good starting point?? it's a dw8 and the swing arm is right at 12 7/8 center to center...

start with a 175 if you run under a 1/2 mile
track. assuming you have the correct springs up front, if it has a push going in soften it 25, opposite for loose. 5* up-hill in the lower arm. i cant stress enough getting the "indexing" correct. 1/4" behind the axle centerline is a good start.

Is is a SWINGARM, or is it a Z-LINK RR? They are two different things. Is the spring mounted on the lower arm, or on the birdcage? This might be why you keep getting so many different answers to your question, lol.

250# spring on Swingarm, or

175# on the Birdcage
