What is the best way to bend over the end on the sheet metal. I made a home made brake from some plans off ebay and cant figure out a good way to bend the ends over...without using a hammer...anyone got some tricks?

bend it all the way up as far as you can... then open your brake up and squish it

you can also bend it all the way over take it out then clamp the break closed set the piece on the top and squish it with the bottom piece but it is basicly thesame concept

dirtracer14, how did the brake turn out? I've been thinking about getting those plans also. How much did it $$ to build?

The brake turned out pretty good. It cost about $130 in steel not counting the stand i still need to make a stand for it. I have found when bending the larger panels that the center will bow out...not sure if i didnt support it enough....i am going to fix it up with a bit more support. I am thinking about selling the plans from my web site
