use your shock as a good limiter... then put your chain on and shorten it like one link... get as much travel as you can... the longer you can keep the bars moving wihout stopping the more bite you get

My car will raise 6" when " on the bars" . At ride hieght my 9" shocks have 3" showing.
I have noticed some cars have only about 1" of shock showing, so maybe they are getting 8" or more ( birdcage indexing) lift from the bars

my usual dryslick set up will have as little as 1 inch showing, i tried 1/2 inch on theslider once, well you just have to make sure you dont jump out of the gas and drop the car(IT WILL LAND REALLY HARD). but you can hike it up alot.
on my next car i am going to put in a removable underslung. then i can limit the roll on tacky(and stregthen the car), and take it off so i get monster hike up on slick.

having the diff bottom on the underslung is definately not the way to go. it is a suspension bind. using less bar angle on tacky tracks would be faster.

I mount my shock on the birdcage so it will index as the rear drops and gives more travel
