With pinto spindles and chevelle stub I use either the stock chevelle lower bj or the raised lower bj and the top one i use the k772 screw in for the adjustable uppers and the bolt in bj with the pinto taper on the non adj uppers.

i replaced some harris lower a arm ball joints the other day, the car had a 71(i am pretty sure or 72) chevy pick up lower ball joint in it, it is taller than the stock lower. this was on a few year old car, but was a house car till 2003.
I dont feel that the front lower ball joints are what are making the front cars so fast, with modifieds lots of the gains are made on the rear. yes the ball joint selection is importand but i dont feel that they have any top secert parts.
chances are most use a truck ball joint lower(like i said above), and a chysler screw in upper or the 4 bolt one that is extra tall(whatever is in the bolt in uppers with pinto spindles.)

I think alot of the cars right now that are fast flex(shaw), they can flex so easy to set up and driver friendly.
also lots of rearsuspension work.
