!!!!!!THIS IS MY OPNION IS ALL!!!!

I have read numerous post, and talked to lots of modified drivers saying the heck with the "b-mod", "sport-mod", "limited-mod" they will just jump in the a-mod.

I say race the limited-mod!!!!!!! If u have never drove a race car or u have limited time in the seat i feel as tho there is no comparision the mod is fast and it takes a pretty decent driver to drive it even tho some would say other wise.

My personal plan as a up and coming driver in the modified was to race 2 years in the b-mod then go a-mod for 2 reasons
1) learn how to drive the mod
2) learn saftey practices on the track under full blown race conditions.

In my 1st 7 races i dnf'ed 2 times. Top 20 5 x's and then when i thought i had this mod thing licked....BAM....there layed the guy stone cold out at the track with his car destroyed, thinking i killed him..... that reaffirmed my belief in truly learning how to drive these cars.

I am NOT SCARED of these cars but i respect them alot!!! Just dont think there is anything shameful about a limited mod, b-mod, whatever u call it!!

Before anybody wants to talk **** to me about this!! Didnt Dale Sr. wreck alot and spin out alot? didnt he have to come around ta learning how to drive with the big boys?

I think its unfair for the a-mod, and late model drivers to come down hard on the b-mod drivers when they the a-mod drivers had to learn also.

I agree Pbr. You have to have alot of respect for any class of racing. Its a very dangerous sport! The competition is excellent no matter what class you race in! Not to mention the money it takes to run competitively.

PBR, I raced against you at BBB the night of the topless in October and the guy that won that night used to race amods. Ask him how the competition level is in the bmods. I think that there are alot more amod drivers that should be in the bmods due to driving ability and budgets than the other way around, if that makes any sense. Making a hurried decision to go to a higher class to soon can sometimes lead to sitting in the stands instead of being on track due to the lack of finances. Besides the top bmods in 2004 at the track you run were averaging lap times almost as fast as the amods.

the guy that won that night at bbb runs a-mods at the same time. he runs b-mods at beatrice and a-mods other places.

The other thing i dont get in this sport is the whole thing of guys complaining that its too expensive!!!( heck i'll help ya find cars and parts if i can!!) Now granted things are expensive, and things will get torn up, but man we all knew that before we got into racing!!!..so why complain about it? heck i have to buy many items for my race operation as a whole but i cant sit back and complain...its just part of it. That would be like me riding bulls in the rodeo then complaining that it hurts...well idiot then dont ride the bulls!!!!

we all know imca, ump, usmts, and other series are gonna change things and the price is gonna go up and i know its just yer guys' opinion WHICH I DO RESPECT but we all knew when we came into this sport that it would do this so dont complain about it just grit yer teeth and race.

I have talked to scores of racers that are mad cuz...."this guy hit me or that guy pushed me or this guy did that or this guy done this....geesh"
Comon our cars have roll bars in them for gods sake!!! if a fellow or lady is hit, rubbed, bumped, or brushed up against i have seen people threaten people in the pits...this is so stupid to me! I didnt put together a race car to see it get beat up by no means, but if i have to fix sheetmetal or some tubes i just laugh and grin it off.....i have to.
my first night at bbb had aguy spin out in front of me destoyed the whole back clip on my car he was freakin out i told him its just racin dont worry about it it happens!!...i didnt like to get hit but im not gonna talk trash either about it or him.

We all should be thankful that we have gotten the chance and the oppurtunity to do what we all love to do and thats race, whether its bobmer, or late model, or modified, whatever! If u dont like yur car gettin hit dont race it then!!

Dont take me wrong u put me in the wall on purpose for no good reason what so ever we are gonna have some serious issues back in the pits with severe results!!!

racin is racin guys lighten up!!

heres where i stand on this deal. i bought a complete turn key amod and trailer from a guy that wanted out. i've been around amods for 6 years and understand how expensive they can be. i choose not to turn this car into a bmod but race it as a amod. all the parts are there and it would cost me more money to convert. reason being, im not ashamed of getting my **** kicked for the first year, theres nothing wrong with starting in the back and learning how to drive a very fast race car. basically all the suspension parts are the same price when you bend or break something, so why not run for better money to fix and replace them. i also have a killer sponsor and he wants to run amod. if a guy wants to run a bmod no one should dog him. as far as the beating and banging of race cars.....thats racing!! if you got a slower car in front of you, tap the bumper to let know your there, but dont hit them so hard you knock their teeth out, save that for the pits!!! j/k lol. hey cowboy what ever happened to you buying my old modified? dont matter now someone stole it!! best of luck to everyone on the upcoming season.

pbr there are two types of guys racing b-mods.... your type, you like to have fun, want to learn, don 't want to dump a whole lot of money into it, and you dont need to to have the fun, or my type that is out to win, to advance in racing, get looked at, if i don't have a good night i'm not happy... but i'm still out there to have fun when i can. thats whats great about this class, everyone can be competitive as long as you take care of your equiptment and get your setup close.
