Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardeware, most any improvement/hardware store should carry them.

we use lexan (not plexi-glass) If you use thin strips with alitte pre-bend in them they will bend in and form right back when you pull the quarter back out

I've seen some cars with spring steel straps on the panels, and it looks like it would work pretty good. You can order the straps from Larry Shaw Racing.

i use the lexan on the entire body and will next year also. i got all the body supports for 5 bucks at a local glass shop, it was a s**** piece to small to use for them(long and narrow). anyways they work great, i make mine a little wider than most.
as far as spring steel i have a few friends with late models that run it, i dont like it. it is same principle as the lexan but too stiff, i think the body will last the longest with the lexan and room to swing inward. it will suprise you.

when i ran a jet mod a few years back that car also had the lexan braces on the rear quarters. they lasted about three weeks before they started to get brittle and break. at least with the aluminum braces you can straighten them back out and we havent had one break yet.

They have all the above.

Personally I like to mount the body with 1" AL strap and 3/4" AL angle, I've tried everything else and they aren't rigid enough for my liking. I ran spring steel part of the year last year on the l/m but the quarters flapped too much.

Any metals supplier should have them. I buy them in 16 ft sticks and make them as I need them. I use 1/4"x1". The alloy I believe is 6076-T6. I will look first chance I get and if it is different I will post here. A stick cost me less than 20 bucks.
