I would like to know how high to mount the rear of the torquelink on the rearend housing from axle center, and also if it makes a difference if in front of axle or behind? thinking about changing from short link to long one. thanks for any help.

most cars pull bars are mounted behind the rear axle. If you think about it, As the rear end raps it is taking angle out of the pull bar or pulling straight back. But if you mounted it in the front of the rear axle as the rear end raped it would always pull up on the chassis. For hight, I've seen them all over the place

thanks for any info, just how far behind the axle are most mounted. what would the pros and cons of the mount being high or low, would it make a difference how slow it reacts? also would it make a difference on axle wrap? I have had problems with to much wrap with a short link with a 1200lb. spring causing driveshaft to bind on rear yoke.

our car is 3" behind centerline of axle and 13" inches up. you can move it side to side to tighten or loosen the car. front mount is by the driveshaft loop up front with 18 degrees down angle. maybe not what all cars are but its a sarting spot. john

Mine is mounted 3" behind centerline of rearend, and 4 1/2" to 5" above top of housing. Angle adj. should be around 18 to 20 degrees down.

The pullbar should be offset to the left some, to put it on centerline with left percentage, (53% left = 3% left offset. aprox.)

yea, the 13" up is from centerline of axle NOT top of center section, john
