Don't know about a website, but I do have a good friend who has a Lighting mod. His is a 3 bar swingarm setup. It runs very well. He finished 2nd in points this year at our local track. He really seems to be happy with it.

Lightning chassis is the way to go. see every car can be fast, when buying a new car what you are really buying is safety and tech. Lightning is one of the safest cars out and the tech can not be beat you call Donnie about a track you would like to go to 9 times out of 10 he will tell you what gear and setup to run there. the new 2005 are so user friendly it's unreal. very nice looking piece.

What makes a lighting good? Just wondering as I may be interested. What stub do they use? What suspension do they use..3-link, 4 bar, 4/z, leaf springs? What makes the 2005 chassis so user friendly?

Lightning uses a metric frame, metric spindles, nova lowers the 2005's are 4-bar, Z-bar they are so user frendly because there is not a ton of adjustment holes only two for panhard bar three for upper four bar two for the lower four bar, i'm a guy that usally likes alot of adjustments so when i seen my new car i was like what!!?? but that night my crew and i went racing with Donnie we watched him set fast time, win the dash and then win the feature. these cars jump up on the bars so fast its like they are playing leap frog all night long we never changed a thing on the car it was just that good.

does a lightning run a shorty panhard bar? If so how do you think it will run with a j bar or long panhard behind rear. Shorty bar is illegal for IMCA in 2005. Also where do they come out of? any dealers close to the west coast?

I ran a 96 Lightning this year and was happy with it. Mine was built on a ford stub. Finished 2nd in points. Was setup as a 3 link long bar. Also ran the shorty panhard bar.
