Hey guys, I bought a 7.25" Ace maxi-lite clutch from a guy this season. The box it was in was from Smiley's. I'm needing to replace the clutches in it (3 disc)I have looked all over on the net and the only place I can find that has these clutches is CV products. I checked Smiley's and didn't see them......do you guys know of anyone who carries these things?? Also it was new in the box when I bought it and I run it about 4 races and the clutches burnt up, Do any of you have experience with Ace Clutches??? The only thing I could figure was that I had the throw-out bearing clearence wrong.......but it never slipped in the races until it just went out???? Any help will be appreciated.

Well it has been about a month since I checked Smiley's. I just looked and they do have them posted now. They are about $12 cheaper than CV. So if you know of anyone besides CV and Smileys, LOL!!! Also what may have caused my pre-mature failure??

Did you drive the car on and off the trailer or push it?? Did you slip the clutch when pulling out? I would recomend pushing the car on and off the trailer, and where ever else possible. And when pulling out get the car moving and let er fly. Hope this helps. (Could still be throw out brg clearance if it's not right)

Yeah I drove it on to the trailer. I have since aquired an enclosed trailer with a winch so I will not be driving it on the trailer anymore. I had thought about that, but I figured I wasn't slipping it much if any pulling it on the trailer. I didn't know if anyone had bad luck with this brand clutch. It was probably my screw-up. Thanks guys.
