i run a 60" centered rear and am going to shorten the rr side 1" to give me more bite/ spacer options .
has anyone else done this and if so , how did it work for you.
i feel that it will benefit chassis roll tuning and bite adhustment on my z-4 dw8 car

ALOT of Late Models run the right tube two inches short of even this gives several inches of adjustment with wheel and spacer combos.

If you go witha 2 inch right offset, it will take the same size axles on both sides, requiring only one spare axle. 30.5 inches is correct I think.

we've kinda got the same thing but just ended up that way after putting new suspension under old car. i guess you'd call it a 58 inch reverse offset. both axles are 29 1/2 inches i believe. we moved our rear clip over two inches and narrowed the rear end by two inches but are running a 3" offset instead of 4" (tire rubs a 4")so rr is moved over 3" from last year. played with car all year looking for the right setup and think we've found it but got to wait till april now. moved 50# over to right side and now got a ton of sidebite. car lays over a little too far so we're going to stiffen up rr which will give more sidebite

RIGHT NOW I RUN A 62" WIDE FRONT TRACK AND A 60" REAR TRACK.
I RUN 3" AND 4" OFFSETS IN THE FRONt and rear

the idea of narrowing the rear track on the right is to get it to lay over more going into the corner and give you more spacer, offset combos to cover changing track conditions and give you more bite.

i like to have about 2-3" narrower rear track but i know some guys that widen the front more with ford lowers or more spacers to get it even wider, like 6 inches or so.

i personnally feel that if you go too wide then you have a loose condition thats out of control.
2-3 inches is about perfect.

anyone else have any opinions????

i've got a torino front clip and if i remember they're around 65 or 66 in wide depending on offsets. my left side tires line up front to rear (darn close anyway).
